One very important fact which you all do not know..
Generals and Captains and Members of Ali Baba conducted 13 classes over 13 weekends to teach the SWAL.
Another important fact .. ALL the candidates failed as expected because they were taught by empty vessels.

He He He .Make sure that history does not repeat during the next RAE exam.
Luckily I passed by self study.
Callsign waiting 9W2!!!!

Interesting facts too...

Thank you for pointing that out . . .but just wondering our loud, who these 'captains' and 'generals' are . . .

To validate this claim, we would like to invite those who failed to get through, and feel that in some way, we are responsible . . .(which in the beginning, this hobby is a self helped one . .)
Please state your candidate number and IC . . .we will return with the answers!

And to Mr anonymous. . .thanks for spicing up our blog . . appreciate it. . .

13 classes??? Wahso many . . .who were the instructors? I am amazed!
I didnt know that there were so many volunteers to 'instruct' on weekends . . . . .

I would surely like to meet . .them! I think if it was the truth, it may have been a case of teaching the monkeys . . .

For one , there is really nothing to teach! Each candidate would have 'wanted' the license on one's interest, i.e, Amateur Radio. . .bet u these people who failed probably doesn't even know what 'mosfet' is . . .

But if they were genuine, I am sure there are plenty of others who would share their knowledge . . not just in Ali B, but elsewhere to . . maybe others charge money . . .but I am not sure . . .

AS the wireless engineer , l have set through the last June RAE exam and found that the questions are too technical for man on the street to get the correct answers. It is not suprising that the percentage of pass is slightly over 30.(lucky i pass)This time around the passing is higher than June, Are MCMC lower the standard? Can any body tell me that he/she have set twice on the RAE and found that this time around is much easy to pass.

9w2mct.... you do not how to read between the lines. The 13 lessons is bullshit. He is asking how people at Ali Baba has helped the candidates. You all congregate at AB every Friday just to chit chat
and talk nonsense. It is high time this weekly congregation is turned into a more beneficial gathering.
Keep away the rumour mongering and
blaming everbody else except yourselves.Everyone has a role to play for the improvement of Amateur Radio in Malaysia. Above all do it with sincerity..no personal agenda...please.

Kopi Ginseng, Kopi Susu, Kopi O . . .who cares? No identity, no worries . . why bother blogging?

I stand by my statement . .and hey! Whoever said that Ali Baba group....gang....40 thieves, or whatever you want to call exist to help people pass their RAE?
IN THE FIRST PLACE, IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AMATEUR RADIO AS A HOBBY, IT IS IN YOUR INTEREST TO EXCEL IN IT! GET IT?

Anyways, I am quite pleased having to answer to your comments as this is a form of my stress theraphy . .no where else to vent frustration...mah....

Anyways, having said, it is really nice to know (and this has nothing to do with me, because, I myself have not been coming for eyeball . . .) that there are still people out there who are genuinely keen in meeting other ham members . . .keep it up guys.

P.S, anyone interested in copper rods for 1/4 wave, homebrew, I have a few to spare, you know my call sign, call me......

honestly, I have passed my RAE exam because of hanging out at Ali Baba...with many experienced stations. My RAE Class did help me to a certain extent (notes and although, it was only couple of hours, tips from 9W2SSJ/RYS helped a bit) but spending time in Ali Baba talking, bullshitting over teh tarik, with other stations helped me out more.

So who is full of bull shit now? Kopi Ginseng or Ali B . . .?

If you have interest in Ham Radio by hook or crook you sure pass coz you have interest stay inside your heart. And that interest build your ham knowledge by refering and study yourself.

If you only want to have QSO in the air just for fun and just pass your time that is not interest in Ham Radio.

Guys, you got to know what is HAM RADIO is for? What is the purpose of it? What is the function? then only you can really put yourself into it. If you don't have that mindset.. might as well contribute your money to telecommunication sector.

yes, problem when you have people who don't really go finding what is HAM RADIO and it will be turn up misunderstanding for themselves and further drag to people who them contacted thus making wrong preception of HAM Radio the purpose and funtion of it.

Self studies and self experimenting is the HAM Radio way and not spoon feeding.

Going QRX and cheerio!
Happy New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai

Ha Ha . .Big Signals are good, but remember 9W2 . . got limitations . .But of course, it is entirely up to you. Good luck in disseminating the RF . . .

Anonymous said...

Your ticket clearly stated the power limitation, over the RF limitation will get you into the MCMC bad book and may suspent your ticket. Do you aware that MCMC have just bought some brand new equipments to catch those illegal operators. They spent million for the state of an art equipments for DF findings .The DF equipments just purchase last year and in the process of commissioning. Anonymous this DF can pin point the location to the accuracy of 3 meters even 6 feet underground!

Kong Qi Fatt Chai to all. I hope all of you have a nice time during the festive season.I understand that the pre chinese new year party at some hotel in Sunway was
exciting. It produced a few drundarks.Anyway that is personal choice but make sure you dont drink and drive.I do not want to lose a ham friend or see you landing in hospital. It may cost me some ringgits to buy flowers for you.Somebody tried to caution me about power limitation for 9W2. Please look the power of my linear amplifier....49.999999W. I know the rule of the game.Anyway thanks
for the advice, you can it back and give it to somebody else....they may need it not me.
As to the Chinese New Year gathering, I was unable to attend due to some prior engagement.I was informed that a few was left alone.
To this few do not expect a red carpet..mingle with the crowd , introduce yourself and dont have inferiority complex. We are all the same...9M or 9W old or new young or old.The priciple is respect the elders... respect is also mutual. The AGM is approaching,
so far no official notice yet.To the Counci please abide to the constitution regarding notice of AGM.. To those eyeing for posts..forget about it. to those preparing to attack the council with your weapons also forget about it.This is a friendly society which requires a bit of tolerance and understanding.Dont try to query unnecessarily just because you are an accountant in a bank or stock exchange.Dont show that pariah character in the AGM There is no election of office bearers this year.I think 14 days notice is required..
I may or may not be able to attend as to my duty roster has not be issued yet. No no no I am not going.. take my family for a holiday would be better.
To all happy holidays.
